Everyone remembers 9/11 and the tragedy that struck New York. This was such a huge event that the whole world was affected in many different ways. People everywhere grieved for the victims and their families. The conspiracy theories of 9/11 have become one of the biggest to take place in this era.

There is overwhelming evidence that proves this terrible tragedy was the direct result of a conspiracy and that it was carefully planned and executed. No one can dispute these facts and they prove it was no accident. However, the conspiracy theories come from the question, who was the ones actually responsible for the attack? This is where different views begin to take shape and confusion sets in.

It’s known that Osama Bin Laden along with a group of Saudi hijackers made played a big role in the conspiracy, but who else was involved? According to these theories fingers are pointing to the former President Bush, Vice-President Cheney and some of the government’s top advisors.

These theories indicate that Donald Rumsfeld and Paul Wolfowitz either allowed these attacks to happen or they collaborated with Bin Laden to make it happen. Either way, this means that it was an inside job that could have been prevented. Having said that you have to ask the question, why would the government allow something this tragic to happen if it could have been prevented?

Conspiracy theorists actually have several answers to this question. For example, they believe that it was allowed to happen so the United States would have an excuse to go to war. This would justify the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan, which in turn could help to increase the United States control over the oil resources of the Middle East. It’s also believed that it justifies the increased military spending and that it would restrict the domestic civil liberties.

Conspiracy theorist claim to have a list of inconsistencies that is said to prove their accusations are true. Some of these include the theory that the World Trade Center was not weakened by the fire but by the result of a controlled demolition. Some believe that instead of a plane hitting the pentagon it was a missile.

Many people choose to believe the conspiracy theories of 9/11 because they can’t believe that our nation was that vulnerable or that our government simply didn’t detect the plot in time to prevent it from happening. It’s important to know that for each one of the theories of conspiracy listed there is counter proof that it couldn’t have happened that way. At this point, it comes down to what the individual chooses to believe but one day there may be enough proof to settle it once and for all.

One of the most popular conspiracy theories of all time is the Roswell, New Mexico crash that many believe to be a cover up of an alien landing. One thing that all will agree upon is that something did indeed crash outside a remote ranch in Roswell, New Mexico back in 1947. What isn’t agreed upon is exactly what it was or where it came from.

The government first claimed that it was some type of saucer and then later retracted that statement, calling it a weather balloon. Of the evidence that has been found and released, it was neither a flying saucer nor a weather balloon.

Many people believe that it was a top secret military balloon called Project Mogul and that the alien theory was just a conspiracy to keep the real truth hidden. Eyewitness accounts and early photos of the crash site show evidence that looks to be like that of the Project Mogul balloon.

There was nothing to suggest that if aliens do exist, they had anything to do with the crash in New Mexico. However, the small city of Roswell jumped on the opportunity for fame as it brought a great deal of money into the area. It quickly became a tourist attraction bringing money into the area and feeding alien hunters everywhere, even today.

Many people believe that this is just what the conspirators wanted. If they can put the focus on aliens and flood the area with “crazies” looking for men in flying saucers, it would take all of the attention off the blunder that made their super secret project see the light of day.

Of course the government is not coming forward at all to admit to any of this so there is still no real solid proof that this is true. Other than eyewitness accounts, little proof of what really did happen there that day still exists. Most people who would have been there in person are growing too old now to remember or have already passed away.

There are some photos from the Roswell crash but many believe them to be cover up photos planted by the government in an attempt to hide the real truth about what happened there. When photos of possible alien bodies were released, many believed these were also fakes meant to cover up the real truth of what happened out there that day.

One thing that conspiracy theorists have not really been able to explain is that if the Roswell incident was a cover up, why would the government continue to lie about it today? Couldn’t they go ahead and let the cat out of the bag now that it was done to protect a secret mission? Will we ever know the truth about what happened in New Mexico that night?

When it comes to conspiracy theories, man on the moon is one of the biggest to hit the nation. There is no doubt that going to the moon is one of the biggest events in history so, why did it end up as a conspiracy theory? Conspiracy theories usually start due to some type of mistrust.

In the 70’s a movie came out in which NASA and American astronauts faked a landing on Mars. It was one of the things that started people asking questions and many began to wonder and even imply that maybe the moon landing was actually a fake as well. This movie was released in the post-Vietnam War and post-Watergate era when the public already had reasons to distrust the government. This made it easy for many of them to believe that the moon walk was all one big hoax.

By 2001 a program aired on Fox television called “Conspiracy Theory: Did We Land on the Moon?” and this got a lot of people stirred up all over again. This show, along with some books, offered the public proof that the landing was a fake in the form of discrepancies between photographs and the official version of the moon landing. There are even websites devoted to proving these accusations are true.

For this reason, conspiracy theories about the man on the moon landing of 1969 have surfaced stating it was all a hoax. The fact that there may be some evidence to support this theory has made it even more believable. A few of these are listed below.

There are some images that show the night sky without any stars.

Videos show the American Flag waving but there is not suppose to be air on the moon.

When viewing the footage the shadows of the astronauts appeared to be cast in several different directions even though the sun was the only light source.

Many of the images were unclear even thought the technology during that time could have provided clear images.

There were thousands of photographs taken without flaws even though the cameras were fitted to the chest of the astronauts so there was no viewfinder for them to look through. The pictures were taken by the body movement of the astronauts so there should have been some mistakes.

However, it’s important to note that there is a lot of evidence that points to this event being true as well. For example, the moon rocks that were studied by scientist all across the globe came from somewhere.

Dozens of astronauts have followed in the footsteps of those first ones to walk on the moon all those years ago. Plus, you simply have ask, why would NASA, the astronauts and the government fake something that would have such an impact on the world? What would they have to gain?

Eventually, technology will find a way to prove that man truly did walk on the moon in the sixties or it will prove that the conspiracy theories, man on the moon is a hoax, is actually the truth. Until that day, there will be a lot of speculation and the public will continue to keep their theories alive.

Conspiracy theories have been around for ages and they will surely be a part of our future as well. These theories are interesting to say the least. They make you stop and think about the event in question. They have a way of making you re-examine the things you thought you already knew to determine if what you believed to be true, really is. Still, it’s hard to determine what is true and what’s false with all the accusations going around along with all the incomplete information.

That’s why Jesse Ventura along with a team of experts has set out on a mission to investigate some of the most intriguing conspiracies that exist today. They share their findings with the public on TruTV. Some of the most recent theories that’s went under investigation include the 9/11 tragedy, global warming and the belief that weapons are secretly being created by the government.

Perhaps one of the biggest conspiracies of today is taking place for an event that hasn’t even occurred yet. This would be the 2012 apocalyptic prophecies. It’s believed the world will face a major event that could be the end of life as we now know it and that the government knows that it’s coming. According to the theory, they’re preparing bunkers and places where an elite group of individuals can be saved while the rest of the nation will have to face the tragedy on their own and without any warning.

It would be difficult for the average person to gather the information needed to determine if conspiracy theories are real or not. It would take lots of time, research and funds to accomplish such a feat especially when it comes to some of the major events. Most people are so busy simply trying to survive from one day to the next they don’t have time to even think about it. These are the people who need someone like Ventura and his experts to discover the truth.

TruTV’s Conspiracy Theories with Jesse Ventura is based on real scientific proof. The information they gather will either prove or disprove these theories. Venture and his team of expert investigators examine these theories first hand. They look at all of the evidence and talk to eyewitnesses to learn as much about the different events as possible.

They follow leads and ask questions that no one else will ask. They face their challenges with open minds. Their goal is to find the truth regardless of what it might be so they can share this information with anyone who is interested in hearing the truth.

There are many people who are addicted to conspiracy theories but how do these theories get started? Basically, it all begins with some type of event that occurs and they normally revolve around someone famous or some well-known place or thing. When these events occur, someone will comment on it and insinuate that there is some type of conspiracy going on.

Perhaps the event made such an impact on then that they simply can’t believe it actually happened. They begin thinking of other reasons that could have caused the event to take place instead of looking at the obvious or believing what they are told. Before you know it, rumors spread and people everywhere are referring to the event as a conspiracy.

Some people seem to seek out conspiracies. In a way, they seem to live for them always searching for another major event they can add to the already long list of conspiracy. This is why some people are said to be addicted to Conspiracy theories.

What Makes a Conspiracy Theory?

In order for an event to be classified as conspiracy theories it needs to be something that captures the attention of lots of people. It has to be a subject that stirs up the emotions of the people and something they have a passion for. It can be something that stirs up feelings of love, hate, sadness or happiness.
A conspiracy theory can evolve from any type of event. For example, many theories evolved from the 911 tragedy. This was something that touched the hearts of millions all over the globe not just in the United States. It was such a traumatic event that it was difficult for many people to believe it actually happened. Someone accused the government (mainly the president) of being behind the whole thing and causing it happen. Some speculated there were bombs planted and before you knew it, there were several conspiracy theories making their way across the globe.

Anything can become a conspiracy theory as long as it’s something that gets the attention of lots of people. It can be a new virus that strikes without warning. People automatically wonder if it occurred because someone or some secret group released it into the air in hopes of reducing the population on earth.
Even global warming is not immune to becoming a conspiracy because many people believe that it’s not really true and that scientist simply manipulated the results of the studies to make it appear as if the earth is warming up.

Conclusion
People who are addicted to conspiracy theories don’t need a logical reason for these acts. In other words, they don’t ask the question why would someone release deadly viruses and manipulate studies. They believe there are people who would do these things in an attempt to change the world to suit them personally, no matter how dramatic the event may be. As long as there are people on this planet and big events occur, you can rest assured there will always be conspiracy theories around.

Conspiracy theories normally surround some huge event that gets the attention of people all over the globe. The event has to be something of importance that touches the heart of the people and stirs up some type of emotions. These events normally revolve around some kind of historical, social or political event. The perpetrator who caused the event is usually someone with lots of power or some secret organization.

When something traumatic happens, many people find it difficult to deal with it or they just can’t believe it happened randomly. For this reason, many people come up with theories about the event that helps them to understand it better. Many times the conspiracy theory is dismissed and associated with paranoia and in some cases they are said to be urban legends. In other cases, the theories tend to generate lots of attention and continue to spread all over the globe and throughout generations. Some of the top conspiracy theories are listed below:

1. The Assassination of JFK – There are many people who still have a lot of questions about the death of our 35th president John F. Kennedy. They want to know if Lee Harvey Oswald is truly the one who killed JFK and if so, was he acting on his own or did he work for someone else like the CIA or FBI?

2. The 9/11 Disaster – There are many who believe the events that took place on 9/11 are the results of one big conspiracy. When a close look is taken at the event it’s obvious that someone did conspire to make the attacks happen. Someone carefully planned out the tragedy and executed their plan but the question is who was behind the event? The conspiracy theory surrounding the tragedy points to government officials, even President Bush and Vice-President Cheney are believed to have a part in the event. It seems that it’s easier for many people to believe that our government was involved than it is for them to believe they didn’t know ahead of time and couldn’t stop the tragedy from happening.

3. Apollo Moon Landing: Man Walks on Moon – There are many questions revolving around the Apollo mission to the moon. The conspiracy theories surrounding this event are based off of discrepancies found between the official version of the event and photographs of the moon landing that were released.

4. Global Warming – The theories surrounding global warming claim that the results of the studies provided for the public are false. It’s believed it’s all a big hoax to trick the public into making changes for other reasons they don’t want to make known.

5. The AIDS/HIV Virus – The original theory is that AIDS was transferred to humans from monkeys in the 1930’s. However, the conspiracy theory states that the virus was man-made and that the CIA or some other form of government created it. The reasons for creating it vary. Some believe it was a bio-weapon that simply got out of control while others believe it was made to target both African-Americans and homosexuals.

As you can see, nothing is above being part of a conspiracy. These are the 5 top conspiracy theories that are well-known. There are many more that include the murder of Princess Diana, the death of Marilyn Monroe, Satanic Cults, Roswell and area 51, the death of Paul McCartney and there are even theories of conspiracy surrounding President Obama.

More and more people are thinking about their health and nutrition these days. When it comes to conspiracy theories, you hear about them with the government, UFOs and even the credit crisis but did you know that some people are also calling the health and nutrition fad another conspiracy theory?

Just think about it for a minute. How many commercials for prescription medications do you see on a regular basis? How often do we see big pharmaceutical companies trying to peddle us meds that we don’t need?

Even worse is that every medication has a side-effect that then requires additional medications to help you with those side effects. It’s a never ending cycle that means more money in their pockets.

Every time you turn around there is another condition or another problem that needs to be resolved with medications. This all happens while the government sites back and watches and sees nothing wrong with this.

The average person can spend thousands by the time they reach their retirement years on prescription bills alone. This is amazing when you think about it. We are taking pills and then taking pills for our pills.

Another aspect of this that can be added to the conspiracy theory list is in relation to nutrition and agriculture. Our bodies are just not getting the nutrients they need anymore because we eat so much chemically processed foods. Even our agricultural goods are treated these days so we’re not getting fresh foods anymore.

Because we are not eating as healthy as we once did, we have to take supplements and vitamins to help us replenish these nutrients that were are not getting. While you may need to supplement your own diet with vitamins, you may not know that most people get the idea to take vitamins and which vitamins to take from the television. Commercials tell us to ask our doctors about prescriptions and also tell us we need all sorts of over the counter medications and supplements. Some might call it an epidemic as more and more people become addicted to these things.

It’s no wonder some believe this might be another conspiracy theory. As this epidemic spreads the nation and even the world, all we see is more and more companies using it to make a buck. Now it seems that everyone has something to help you be healthier, smarter, stronger or thinner.

If you can dream it up, there is a product for it. Many people believe this is why the health and nutrition industry is just another conspiracy theory.

If you’re asking yourself what are conspiracy theories, it’s time to gain a better understanding of this. The term conspiracy theory first became a neutral term for any type of claim. In recent terminology, it has grown to refer to fringe theories that explain a history or current event which is believed to have been caused by conspirators. Often these conspirators are described to have superhuman powers or cunning abilities.

In the past, the term referred to civil, criminal, and also political conspiracies. Many people view conspiracy theories with skepticism and also ridicule the people who believe in them. Still others believe in them with such passion, they put their all into trying to prove them to be true. Most conspiracy theories are rarely supported with physical or convincing evidence which is why they are referred to as just “theories”. If there were hard evidence, we would believe them as fact instead.

These theories have now become common place in the media as we hear the terms being talked about more often than ever before now in the 20th and 21st Centuries. It has become almost a cultural phenomenon with many people joining in just for the sheer novelty of it.

Due to this, it has now become a topic for sociologists, experts of folklore and even psychologists as experts try to determine why some people believe in them and if there is any basis of truth behind them.

Today we see more and more conspiracy theories popping up in our societies where in the past, there would have one been a couple very popular ones. Now it seems more people are crying “conspiracy” than ever before. This leads many people to wonder if there is some truth to it or why these conspiracy theories are becoming so popular.

In some ways, conspiracy theories might be a good thing. They encourage people to think outside the box and they encourage citizens to think beyond just what they are being told by government and state officials. Many experts believe that it is the sign of a creative mind when people entertain the idea of a conspiracy theory.

But then in other ways, the idea of a conspiracy theory can be a bad thing. It can cause people to obsess, to citizen or question their government and other leaders and to rebuke authority. In some cases, it can even cause people to question the lines between reality and fiction. For an individual who does not have a stable mind, this can be a real problem as they will latch on to a conspiracy theory in an unhealthy way.

When it comes to conspiracy theories, it seems there are more of them today than ever before. One popular conspiracy theory going around is in regards to the credit crunch. There are those who believe the credit crunch may have been intentional and that the financial crisis that started in the US and spread across the globe was started for a reason.

It’s been some time that the credit crunch has been working its way into our society and it’s no real surprise that it would eventually come to a head. Could it be that conspirators were trying to manipulate the system and the economy by creating this credit crunch?

It’s not so crazy for many to believe that maybe the American government or even several different governments could have been behind the scheme. If you want to make a decision about this for yourself, it pays to research the theories behind the credit crunch and form your own opinion.
Here is what some of the theories are saying about the credit crunch:

•	The lenders were looking forward to this to boost their business.
•	Statisticians miscalculated on deals.
•	Unforeseen events confused the experts.
•	Business entities were ignorant although they were warned this could happen.

When you take a look at each scenario, you can see why people come to these conclusions. It’s not likely that the first would really happen and there is very little evidence that any of this could be real. Of course conspiracy theorists would probably say that the evidence was hidden anyway and that it was all part of the plan.

The theory about the business entities being ignorant may hold some truth to it. Studies have shown that some experts saw these oncoming problems and tried to warn the businesses but most big business didn’t want to hear it.

They felt untouchable in a sense and like nothing bad would happen. When the worst of worst came crashing down on them, they were unable to accept any responsibility in the matter, instead passing blame.

All of the theories have some basis of truth to them but is it really enough to say that the entire credit crunch was staged? It’s most likely that there were several different scenarios that all played a part in the end result of the credit crunch. To say there was a conspiracy behind it might be stretching it a bit too far but who can really say for sure when there is no solid proof?

You may have already heard the news about the possible end of the world in 2012. Many people believe this to be a conspiracy theory as well. It seems like we are always hearing about another doomsday prophecy. 2012 doomsday conspiracy theories have been circulating around for some time but in 2010, they became really well known, especially with the making of a movie about the prophecy.

Some people don’t know that these prophecies have actually been around since the early days of time as we keep it today. Yet it seems we are bombarded with them today from all directions. Many believe that events are now beginning to unfold which show the 2012 prophecies to be true.

Most experts agree that there is no real hard evidence to support a 2012 doomsday prediction. This is where many come in to say that it is another conspiracy theory. One thing that people point out about this theory is the ancient Mayan calendar which predicts that something significant will happen on the 21st or the 23rd of December in 2012.

However, the truth remains that we don’t really know what it even was that they were predicting. Many people believe natural disasters such as hurricanes, volcanoes, tsunamis, earthquakes and more will result in this 2012 doomsday. Some even believe that a meteor impact could be the cause. Still there is no hard evidence that this will happen at all.

There are also some who believe that Planet X has something to do with it and that if it comes too close to the earth, it can mess up our gravitational pull and knock the earth out of orbit, killing all life on our planet.

The truth of the matter is that most experts don’t believe the Mayans really knew anything more than we do today. So it doesn’t seem we really have anything to be excited about. While it’s true that some unforeseen event could happen and kill us all, there is also no real evidence that a doomsday event is happening at any particular time, in 2012 or otherwise.

Some people believe that the conspiracy theorists are just looking for something to go on about and that even if 2012 doomsday doesn’t happen, they will find something else to get worked up about. Still others believe that there is real evidence to support the theory and that we can expect this might really happen.

Some people believe that the government is also in on it and that they hide the true evidence that this doomsday is going to happen for fear of what the public will do if they know there will be no tomorrow. You can study up on the doomsday conspiracy theories and make your own opinions.
